We are constantly bombarded with the phrase “organizational culture” in leadership. It appears as stated values or missions on webpages. It is asked about during interviews. It is presented during employee town halls. Organizational culture is just as important as we say it is. Yet, too many leaders leave the words sitting on the page. And their employees take notice.
Show Before Tell
Leadership, especially when you need to convey a message, requires more than simply informing people of change and expected behavior. Start by demonstrating what it is you want to see from your people before you even tell them.
